The short version

Rover connects to your email to find receipts, tracks prices on items you've bought, and contacts retailers when prices drop. We only access what we need, we never sell your data, and you can disconnect at any time.

What we collect

• Order information: Product name, purchase price, retailer, and order date — extracted from receipt emails.
• Account basics: Your email address and name, used to create and manage your Rover account.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics like page views and feature usage to help us improve the product.

What we don't collect

• We never read, store, or process personal emails — only order confirmations and shipping receipts.
• We don't store the full content of any email. We extract structured order data and discard the rest.
• We don't collect payment details, credit card numbers, or banking information.

How we use your data

• To monitor prices on products you've purchased and detect price drops.
• To contact retailers on your behalf to request refunds or price adjustments.
• To send you notifications about successful refunds and savings.
• To improve and maintain the Rover service.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate Rover (e.g., hosting, analytics), but only under strict data processing agreements. We will never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Email access tokens are stored securely and can be revoked at any time. We follow security best practices and regularly review our systems.

Your rights

• Disconnect anytime: Revoke Rover's email access with one click from your account settings.
• Delete your data: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export your data: Request a copy of all data we have associated with your account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app. Continued use of Rover after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
