What Rover does
Rover is an automated price-tracking and refund service. By connecting your email, Rover scans for purchase receipts, monitors for price drops, and contacts retailers on your behalf to request refunds or price adjustments. By using Rover, you authorize us to perform these actions on your behalf.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Rover.
- One account per person — please don't create multiple accounts.
Email access
Rover requires read-only access to your email to identify purchase receipts. We use OAuth authentication and never see or store your email password. You can revoke access at any time through your account settings or directly through your email provider.
Refunds and savings
- Rover will make reasonable efforts to secure refunds on your behalf, but we cannot guarantee that every claim will be successful.
- Refund eligibility depends on retailer policies, which vary and may change.
- Rover takes a percentage of successful refunds as our service fee. The exact percentage is displayed in your account before you activate the service.
- Savings amounts shown are estimates and may differ from the final refund issued by the retailer.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Rover for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent refund claims.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to it.
- Use automated means to access the service beyond the intended functionality.
Service availability
We strive to keep Rover running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll give reasonable notice for significant changes.
Limitation of liability
Rover is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rover shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you've paid to Rover in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app. Continued use of Rover after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
